Efraim is the Chief of the Geriatric Department at the Sarah Herzog Hospital in Jerusalem. He is also a lecturer at the Medical School of the Hebrew University. He has written several books about various aspects of aging, including "A Travelling Guide for the Older Person" and "Different Aspects of Health and Old Age from the Point of View of the Kli Yakar".
